Nintendo Direct 2016: What to Expect From Today’s Big Event

Nintendo’s second Nintendo Direct briefing in as many weeks will take place today, March 3, at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST. The event will bring news about Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS titles arriving through summer, but there won’t be any announcements made regarding the mysterious NX or Nintendo’s smartphone games.

It will broadcast live through the Nintendo Direct website and presumably via external sites such as Twitch and YouTube. We will add a streaming embed player to this post as the show draws nearer.

Some Wii U games from Nintendo scheduled for now through summer include Pokken Tournament, Star Fox Zero, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.

On the 3DS side, some upcoming Nintendo-related games include Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, Hyrule Warriors Legends, and the aforementioned Mario & Sonic game.

This will be Nintendo’s second Nintendo Direct briefing in as many weeks. Last week’s Nintendo Direct was focused on Pokemon, with Pokemon Sun/Moon being announced during the briefing.
