Hitman Details the PlayStation Exclusive Sarajevo Six Content

Hitman Details the PlayStation Exclusive Sarajevo Six Content: With Hitman launching today, the promised year-long journey with Agent 47 has begun and Io-Interactive has pulled back the curtain on some of the specific content players can look forward too.

Though announced previously, we now have a much better idea of what the PlayStation exclusive content, The Sarajevo Six, will entail. Hunting down the six criminals responsible for war crimes in Sarajevo, Agent 47 has been given a long-term contact to take them out where and when they might appear throughout the next year. The first contract, The Director, is live now in the first location of Hitman.

Taking to the PlayStation Blog, Community Manager Travis Barbour also teased the live content coming to Hitman. Meant to give players reason to continuously jump back into Hitman, even after finishing each area, the live content will include Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets.

“We’re giving you the weekend to experience the Prologue, start exploring Paris, and try your hand at the first Escalation Contract before we unleash more of our live content next week. Escalation Contracts have a strong focus on having fun with the game mechanics. You’ll need to complete a hit that will escalate in difficulty over five stages,” he explained.

Teasing more, “Pretty much anything goes in this mode. It’s more about being playful than realistic.”

As for the Elusive Targets, these are timed events that will start next week. “This target will only be around for a limited time — and you only have one chance to take them down. You won’t want to miss them!”

Hitman is being released as an episodic game, the Intro Pack ($15), with the prologue and first location, releasing today. Future locations will release on a monthly basis through the rest of the year. It was recently announced the full release of the game would not arrive until early 2017.
