“Game of Thrones” star Hafthor Julius Bjornsson recently hinted that Sandor “The Hound” Clegane could fight his older brother Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane in season six.
Winter Is Coming reported that Bjornsson recently reposted a piece created by Turkish “Game of Thrones” fan artist Ertac Altinoz. That image showed The Mountain fighting The Hound on Instagram, and Bjornsson asked his followers if they would like to see this fight happen on the television show.
Previously, Bjornsson’s co-star Ian McShane hinted that The Hound is still alive, and his character in “Game of Thrones” season six is responsible for bringing the warrior back to King’s Landing.
In season five, Cersei ordered the former master Qyburn to use any means necessary to save The Mountain after he was poisoned by one of Prince Oberyn Martell’s spears.
It was implied that Qyburn managed to resurrect the dying warrior, and he took the alias Ser Robert Strong in order to defend Cersei against the Faith in her upcoming trial by combat.
Business Insider noted that the “Cleganebowl” fan theory suggested that Sandor was rescued by a septon, and he will be chosen to fight for the Faith in Cersei’s trial by combat.
Meanwhile, Watchers On The Wall speculated that the red priestess Melisandre is going to die in the upcoming sixth season.
People noted that Bjornsson’s co-star Carice Van Houten, who plays Melisandre, recently announced that she was pregnant.
It is possible that Van Houten’s character is going to use her powers to bring Jon Snow back to life in season six, and Melisandre will die during the ritual.
There is a chance that Van Houten waited until her role on “Game of Thrones” ended before starting a family with her husband Guy Pearce.
The “Game of Thrones” season six premiere will air on Sunday, April 24, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
